I am excited to announce that Tnooz, world’s number one online media for travel industry has now acquired Travopia. All acquisition formalities have been completed and now brand Travopia along with all its assets belongs to Tnooz.

Effective today, I am joining Tnooz as General Manager of Asia. In this role, my responsibilities would include writing in Tnooz about travel tech developments in Asia, leading the operations and business development initiatives in Asia.

The total deal worth is not disclosed, but according to Economic Times, the deal is said to be in the range of Rs 26 to 30 crore (~US 5 million). Also, HolidayIQ has demerged from Wego, south asia’s metasearch engine company. HolidayIQ and Wego established a merger partnership in November 2010.
