FlightsWithFriends, a California based travel startup (that emerged out of beta early this month) has added ‘Hotels’ as its second offering, in addition to Flights. FligtsWithFriends launched in early 2012 offers group travel planning service where user can invite his/her Facebook friends to chat, finalize and select flights – all in realtime. Simply put, its a social meta-search engine.

FlightsWithFriends says that, most travelers begin their travel searches at the office, so they aren’t in the same room with the other travelers in their group. Long email chains, miscommunication, and frustration are usually the result.

FlightsWithFriends brings all group travel members onto the same page, literally. Users start their search and then invite Facebook friends. Travelers set shared search preferences, see the same flights, pin the ones they like, chat, and know when others on the trip have booked in real-time.

Now, with the launch of Hotels in FlightsWithFriends, users will be able to perform all above features on Hotels as well.

FlightsWithFriends has partnered with Expedia to provide large inventory of hotels along with their price match guarantee.

Founders of FlightsWithFriends are from notable startups like Yelp, Votizen, Geek Squad, and Coupa.
