Two weeks back, we had announced a contest to create an identity / logo for Travopia. We adopted the crowdsourcing style to create an identity and it has done wonders. There were many enthusiastic participants – some clarified their questions, some went to the next stage to design logos and sent it, some went even a step further and worked with me closely. We had participants in various stages. And, now we have a remarkable identity created for Travopia. As the saying goes – Winning is not important, but participating. We truly thank everyone who had taken part in this contest.

The logo creation contest ended last night and its time to announce the winner (don’t have to announce the winning logo as its already live on the site). Here we go.

Lights on! Position the camera! Music on! Drums rolls! Whistles! Ears open to listen? Eyes open to read? Lets go.

And, the winner of this crowdsouring event is – - – - – Swaminathan Balasubramanian. Swami is a Senior Test Engineer at Happiest Minds Technologies, Bangalore. Swami’s logo conveyed the message of Travopia – a discussion forum about travel and technology. That’s essentially what Travopia is all about. The discussion is well represented by the modified “O” (resembling a chat symbol). And, the technology is represented by the “wi-fi” symbol above the character “i”. It’s simple, neat and strikes the bullseye. We wholeheartedly thank Swami for his quality personal time spent on creating the identity with a wonder thought message. We love the logo.
