Announcing Logo Creation Contest For Travopia
Travopia’s logo was designed using a freeware tool. It looks just fine, but it doesn’t look professional (at least, to me) and doesn’t convey the focus themes of Travopia. In 25+ days of launch, we get 400+ readers per day and we got featured in Brazil’s biggest daily newspaper “Folha”. To continue this momentum, there are lot of structuring happening in Travopia. We removed News, Trips from our focus areas and started to focus only on four areas. An another initiative is to redesign the logo.
And what more? We are planning to crowd-source the logo design. On that note, we would like you – the readers of Travopia to put on the creativity cap to create an identity for Travopia.
The logo shall represent the four focus areas of Travopia – Travel Startups, Thought leadership in travel, Interview with travel industry experts, Travel product review.
We will keep this contest open till 23:59 May 6th 2012. Multiple entries per person allowed. After all, Travopia follows democratic principle – Travopia is by the people and for the people. We will review all logos received and pick the one that best conveys the message of Travopia’s four focus areas.
Winner of this logo creation event will be featured in the “About Us” section in Travopia. And, this is a permanent mention, it will remain in the “About Us” page forever. We will write about the logo creation contest, description of logo (what author tell us), profile and picture of logo creator, link all social profiles (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter) of the creator in “About Us” section. Apart from this, in all travel conferences that Travopia attends or hosts (in future) – this crowd-sourced event will be mentioned and credits will be given to creator. We will ensure the winner is well covered in spotlight! That onus is on us. Trust us. We will do it.

The time line is too short . Would you mind extending it atleast by a week. And can you tell me what does “Thought leadership in Travel” mean to commoner ?

“Thought leadership articles” – article that has lot of research, prediction, trend analysis, brings in domain expertise in travel industry. Say for example: How Project Google Glass is going to impact travel industry – this is a perfect example for thought leadership.
